There are shoes all over San Francisco ! Pairs of perfectly good shoes/trainers scattered about the pavements, no sign of their owners or a struggle that would result in such abandonment. So far I have only seen this phenomenon in the Haight neighborhood (ok - so maybe not all over San Francisco). It's a crazy neighborhood at the best of times but this seems particularly random.
