I had such a fantastic time that I was keen to be able to take part in the main Pride Parade on Sunday. It's a Parade that is so big it takes a couple of hours for the floats to pass along the parade route. At the front, once again, are the Dykes on Bikes, only this time there are around 500 bikes. A friend of a friend of a friend (!), Sheila, didn't have a B.O.B. and offered to take me. Boy was I chuffed! I was picked up by Jeanette at 8am on Sunday morning and rode with Sheila, Jeanette, Jude and Donna to the line up point on Market. Gradually everyone gathered and I was surrounded by some of the most beautiful and well cared for bikes I have ever seen (there was a lot of disposable income on display!). The level of camaraderie was incredible, people I had seen on saturday would come and chat, we laughed and joked getting incredibly excited. Then at 10am we were off.
